VCD ATHLETIC LEAVE WITH 3 POINTS WHILE DEAL HAVE MOORE PRAYERS
With a week of snow/rain DEAL was only 1 of 2 host's today in the KENT HURLIMANN LEAGUE. The winter sun bought almost 100 spectators
A goalless first half witnessed plenty of end to end action and if VCD could of found the early combination, would of been home n dry. An early first half substitution see MARSH off J. PAIN.
The second half goal come early UCHE IBEMERE on the 50th min secured a lead for VCD , but a fighting DEAL pushed a defence mistake to equalise from a SMITH lob.
QUINN off for PETTIT

1-1 and it was anyone's game but our keen ref of the day had a few bright ideas !!
To cut a long story short - lord Moore with a shirt tug gave the visitors a penalty ! young SPARKLE in his reliable fashion made a great save but VCD were hungry to the follow up to make it a POWELL execution 14 mins before time.
Multiple bookings see SUTER face a red along with PETTIT (on his debut)..
A 9 man squad see it out to the end and with enough cards to play poker DEAL will be costing the cost this week.
The VICKERS move up to 3rd place in the league and to be fair a big strong side with a bit of Lady Luck took the points today.
A little more disalpine and concentration today may have seen a different outcome.

Have to agree with most of the comments.
VCD look a good footballing side. I thought Deal looked a bit ring rusty(probably due to the enforced break with the bad weather).
Referee looked a bit keen to administer free kicks(and bookings!) against Deal.
Couldnt accuse him of being a "homer!"
Unfortunately ill discipline(probably through frustration) cost them the game.
Gaffer needs to have words about that,otherwise we wont be able to put a side out soon,due to injuries and suspensions!!
Good luck on Tuesday night,although I feel that might not be on,due to the weather.
If not,then a home game on Saturday beckons against E&B(according to the league website).
