DVFC continued their unbeaten run with a 3-0 victory against Queens Utd in the Wath Cup.

Dearne dominated the majority of the game playing some superb football in the process with Adam Stancey making a return in the heart of midfield. Numerous chances were wasted and the sides went into half time all square.

DV continued playing some tidy football on a wonderufl playing surface and it looked like only a matter of time before they would take the lead. Tony Wilson was brought on to add some bite in midfield, his first game back since leaving Rehab.

It was a moment of magic from Gavin Bassinder that finally gave Dearne the lead. He skipped past the last defender with ease, dummied the goalkeeper and squared the ball unselfishly for Brad Dashwood to brake the Deadlock. Phil Blunt then hit a 25 yard screamer to make it 2-0 and that spelled the end for the Queens. Jack Georgson got a well deserved 3rd goal to seal the victory.

DVFV are back to league fixtures next week as they take on Groves Social.
