Notice of the Deepings Rugby Union Football Club Annual General Meeting
Tuesday, 24th May 19:30, Deepings RUFC, Spalding Road, Deepings St James, PE6 8NJ.

On behalf of the Club Committee, I am pleased to invite you to attend the forthcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM). Please scroll down to the agenda and positions for nomination.

The AGM is an important constitutional gathering of the Deepings Rugby Union Football Club’s members to hear about the progress of the Club, recent and on-going developments and the achievements of the various sections and their members during the past year. The meeting also provides a forum for members to put forward their ideas for the future of the Club.

A minimum of 20 voting or full members are required to conduct the AGM. Please note that social members are welcome to attend but not eligible to vote.

Voting members may make nominations for the committee to be elected at the AGM. This must be done by sending the nominees name, the post for which they are nominated and the names of both the proposer and seconder to the Club Secretary via email, [deepingssec@gmail.com]. This should be received no later than Tuesday 17th May, 2016. Nominations are welcome for all positions.

The positions that are open for nominations are:

Chairman
Vice Chairman
Hon. Secretary
Hon. Treasurer
Club Captain
Director of Rugby (Rugby Development)
Facilities Manager

For your information, the current Chairman, Rugby Development and Social Secretary are to step down from their positions there is currently nobody in the position of Vice Chairman. The role of Social Secretary is to be proposed as removed from the Constitution and that of Rugby Development and Clubhouse Development to be changed to Director of Rugby and Facilities Manager respectively.

The Treasurer and Club Captain are willing to be nominated by the current committee for re-election. The committee so far have nominations for Chairman, Hon. Secretary and Facilities Manager. Nominations for any position should be submitted with 7 days notice to the committee via email, club@deepingsrufc.co.uk.
The election of officers will be by a show of hands of those full members present on the evening. There are a range of other non-elected rolls that need filling.

The AGM will also consider a range of important club matters as determined by the Agenda. In addition, if you have any other business that you feel is relevant to the AGM, then please note that this should be submitted to the Secretary, in writing, at least seven days before the meeting.

I urge you to attend and support your club. The bar will open and everyone is invited to stay after the AGM to socialise. I look forward to seeing you there.
