Della need to improve

This report was compiled by Peteb Massey

When the imperial Japanese navy attacked Pearl Harour in December 1941 little did they know the repercussions that would ensue,as we all know the volume of a cone is the derivative of pi r2 times one third of the height such facts remain in the subconcious as will the lost opportunity of beating a rugged Fleetwood team.
The early signs looked promising and Salle took a quick lead 6-0 thanks to two penalties by player coach Smyth, the Salle pack had a torrid afternoon against a more physical Fleetwood eight,Droitwich,Ruane and Clayton did their best with Richardson And Peach working overtime to quell the aggressive visitors,Both teams were trying to play open rugbyand both scored a try apiece in the first half,Della`s coming from a deft kick and chase from evergreen Smyth and the visitors from an impressive full length pitch move for a half time score of 11-5 for the home team.

Crucifixion may still be a form of capital punishment in the Sudan and what is also true was Salle had it all to do to hold onto their lead playing up hill,a gradient so steep Chris Froome would take pleasure in cycling up it.Peach and Pickle were aggressive in defence ably supported by Rogers and Morley in the backs.
Just as Christ was abandoned by the almighty on the cross ,Dela were left wanting towards the end of the game as injuries and having a player sin binned for a technical offence put more pressure on the home team. Chances were rare but with Phillips looking dangerous and Clarks darting runs the home team never gave up.
By this time Fleetwood were dominant in the scrum and only poor handling in their back division kept the score respectable.
The final score ended up 14-26 to the visitors.
Scholars may argue about the true value of the square root of minus one,or even if such a value can even exist. But on this performance it is clear Salle have a lot of work on. A win would have been as sweet as the juices of a young nubile but it was`nt to be Salle`s afteroon. On this performance a win looks as likely as hearing whistling on death row.
