United travel to the University Sports Ground in Norton Sheffield on Saturday to play Byron House in the County Senior League. Byron were one of our fiercest promotion rivals in Division 2 last season and looked as if they might win the division before falling away to finish 4th, this time around in Division 1 they have not had the impact they perhaps might have and lie 4th bottom. The Reds beat Byron 4-0 at Old Road back in August but that counts for nothing as a vital 3 points are available as United look to consolidate top spot with Wombwell Main and Denaby Main our most likely challengers and though Caribbean Sports are still near the top they have fewer games left so are unlikely to take top spot. Kick of at Byron is 3.00pm.
On sunday the attention turns to the juniors with both the U7s & U8s in action. The U7s travel to the Balby Academy of Sports while the U8s host Armthorpe Wolves at Old Road, KOs for both games TBC.
