A disappointed Perry said the slow start in the first half cost his side a share of the points against Holywell.

The first half performance we were flat and slow to react to everything, I felt we were fortunate to go in 1 down as Holywell had a couple of half chances.

The 2nd half we pressed higher and used the ball when we could in difficult circumstances but overall we have conceded 2 poor goals and again when chances have come our way our finishing has been poor.

That said I am still amazed the game went ahead as from the first minute you could see the players were struggling to get a footing and the ball wasn’t bouncing and moving properly in certain areas.

I think both sets of players deserve praise for the game as from a neutral point it was a decent competitive game but we need to get back to being hard to break down and getting the basics right.

We can re-group and move onto the FA Welsh Cup next week with hopefully a few more bodies on board and continue to look to improve the start to the season.
