Can Denbigh continue their run of form in the league?

We look forward to the game against Caersws on Saturday which will kick off at Central Park at 2.30pm

Denbigh are doing well in the league and currently lie in third position one point behind second placed Airbus with a game in hand. Caersws are currently near the bottom of the table at thirteenth having won two and drawn two. They collected a nice point at Ruthin recently and were narrowly beaten by Rhyl, by the one goal, last Saturday.

Denbigh had a good win last weekend against Airbus in an exiting match and when we spoke to Eddie the team manager he said of the game "We were a bit sluggish for the first ten minutes or so and gave them a goal lead. It is times like that when character and leadership needs to come to the fore and the lads showed that. We have come from behind previously but it takes something special to do it against one of the very top sides. We dealt with everything that Airbus could throw at us but I feel we remained on top after that slow start. The game was changed in the second half when Matty Cooke and Jake Eyre came on and we dominated. We played some good probing football, testing them time and time again until the goals came. I was very pleased and want this spirit in the side week in and week out."

What of Caersws this Saturday? " They are not in as good a position as us at the moment but we cannot be complacent. We have trained hard and prepared just as thoroughly for this game as we did for the Airbus game. It will be tough as are all games in this league. Having said that there is only so much that Dewi, Danny and I can do and on the day the players need to show that they can deal with all types of matches and get themselves in the right frame of mind for a competitive encounter."

Our captain Ben Nash will have to miss the game as he has collected five cautions before the 'end of year deadline' and therefore receives a one match suspension. Eddie said " I am lucky in that the squad has quality throughout. Ben is a young player and he will be disappointed too but I chose him as captain for a reason. He is a good leader and I hope he learns from this as I want him to set an example as much as anything else."

New signing Corey Smart is available and will be in the squad although Liam Smith is still suffering, to some degree, from a niggling injury and we will have to see.

Eddie is looking forward to the match "We could feel the atmosphere in the ground last Friday and we hope that if we keep winning then it will encourage people to come and watch us.I would like to thank the people of Denbigh for their support and we want to give them something to enjoy. If we play like we can then I see no reason why we cannot give a good account of ourselves against Caersws. "
