From the Gaffer

Steve Walker looks ahead to our trip to King's Lynn Town on Saturday.

We travel this weekend to Kings Lynn, in turmoil, calls for sackings, team isnt good enough, Manager needs to go.... they lost only there 2nd league match of the season against Buckby...
They have over 100 points again this season and STILL may not get promotion, unheard of in football I would think.

Well thats enough of them.

We go there with a fully fit squad, Daniel Kitching is unavailable this weekend. We are safe in the knowledge that we will be playing Premier Football next season in the UCL, no matter what happens to other teams leaving or folding, we have stayed in the league on our own merits, and that is some achievement considering where we were.

We go to "The Walks" full of confidence over our recent run, but in the knowledge this will really test how far we have come as a squad and Management over the last few weeks. Notable perforamnces and results against top 6 opposition over the last 6 weeks have meant we have put together a run of results against quality opposition, unbeaten in 6 and only 2 defeats in our last 13 matches, with the test coming in our last away game of the season away to Kings Lynn, fighting tooth and nail to win this league. We are going there to win, to put on a performance and do do ourselves justice after the 5-0 defeat in my 2nd game as temporary Manager back in December. We have changed 9 of that squad from that day, but with all the players we have brought in since, and thats been 15 in & 13 out, we know we have a quality squad who, as Manager, I am happy to take to any ground and know we will battle and fight all the way.. and that is something we will have to do on Saturday for the whole 90mins.

We had a good Easter of 4 points from drawing with Holbeach and beating our local rival S&L Corby 2-1, can we take that into Saturday...

If you are travelling to support us, we will give it our best shot, and enjoy the day.
