Desford Promoted With Local Derby Victory
Desford secured promotion to the Leicestershire Senior League Premier Division with this local derby victory at their arch-rivals’ ground.
Six points from their two matches over the Easter Bank Holiday would ensure a top two finish, gaining promotion with two matches left to play. Having successfully completed the first part of the job with Saturday’s win at Belgrave, they went on to gain the remaining points they needed on Monday to put them beyond the reach of the chasing pack
