The previous 2 weeks hard work finally paid off as we defeated Keynsham 3-1 which was only there 3rd loss of the season on there '3g' Pitch,we started brightly in which Steve Campbell and Paul Gittens both went close but against the run of play Keynsham took the lead after a foul from a throw in, in which they duly converted,Lewis went the right way but it was to powerfully struck!Thats how it stayed till half time. After half time Keynsham came out the stronger but we drew level after 60 mins when after a through ball by Robbie Mitchell in which Luke Enderby manged to get there just before the keeper to toe it into and empty net...10 minutes later we were ahead after being awarded a free kick 30 yards out Steve Campbell Stepped and whipped a great cross in which Mattew Lever got on the end of for his first goal for the first team! With 15 minutes to go the game was sown up,Keynshams keeper came out of he box to collect a long punt up field, unfortunatly for him he sliced his clearance straight to Luke Enderby and from all of 60 yards he controlled it and sent it back over the keepers head and in doing so gave us another deserved 3 points,I must congradulate the lads on there attitude after going 1-0 down to fight back to get three points!
Great win Jamie, Ive been away on holiday for the past two weeks, so to come home and see the team win on Saturday was brilliant news. Incidentally whats a 3g pitch Jamie ? Regards Barry
Sorry Barry didnt notice your comment, its basically a fake pitch made up of synthetic grass and little balls of rubber which act as the 'mud' bit weird to play on but very realistic!
