Devon Under 15 success
Sharks make a splash.......
Three Stonehouse Sharks’ players have been selected to represent Devon at rugby.
Under-15s James Head, Aiden Nethercott and Matthew Walmsley were chosen after passing gruelling trials for the county sides. The 2 props and winger attended tough trials to secure their places in the Devon county side and all 3 feel privileged to represent their county.
A club spokesperson said: "It's a really good feeling to have players from one of Plymouth’s newest junior clubs selected and they (the players) should be very proud of themselves. Also the coaches at the club, whose dedication & hard work enabled the youngsters to progress to this stage and hopefully fulfill the first part of their ambition in the sport, deserve a richly rewarded ‘pat on the back’. To have one player selected for a county rugby team is an outstanding achievement, but to have three chosen is exceptional!”
