Winger Josh Mowley crossed over three minutes from time to snatch a 30-26 victory for DEWSBURY CELTIC at the MILFORD MARLINS.

Celtic raced into a 14 point lead inside 17 minutes thanks to tries from Nathan Lawrence, Luke Newsome and Joe Batchelor; Thomas Halloran with a conversion.

Unconverted tries from Milfords Chris Evans and Calum Hall then reduced the arrears. 5 minutes from halftime Celtic prop Lewis Allot collected a Milford spilled ball on the halfway and raced to touched down to send Celtic in at the break 20-8 to the good; Halloran with the extras.

The second half was an incredibly topsy turvy affair. Milford scored two tries inside the first 12 minutes of the second period through Joe Burns and Callum Stewart, to level the scores; Billy Browne notching the conversions.

Gary Clough then crossed for Celtic on 55 minutes and, with Halloran adding the two points, Dewsbury edged ahead 26-20. Three minutes later, the scores were level again when Evans went over for his second try of the match. Browne’s kick was successful and the game was delicately poised.

For the last 15 minutes both teams worked hard with the score at 26 all. On 67 minutes Mowley 1m in from touch and at acting half dummied and dashed 15m down the touchline to cross and claimed the winning points for Celtic.

Final score Milford 26 v 30 Celtic.

Celtic Man of The Match chosen by Milford was Nathan Lawrence.
