Didcot Return to Winning Ways

After three consecutive defeats, Coach Moran demanded a step up in performance from the team... and the team delivered.
Within 2 minutes, Didcot took the lead with a well worked try that saw Ben Cox score. The conversion was missed. Score 5-0. Crowthorne responded in the 6th minute with a converted penalty. Score 5-3 and then levelled up the scores with a well worked try from a lineout. Score 8-8. Didcot had the better of the remainder of the first half and were rewarded with a try by Alex Cleminson. The conversion was made by Josh Witts. Half time score 15-8
The second half was close affair. Crowthorne scoring a try in the 43rd minute. Score 15-13. Josh Witts then responded with a penalty to make the score 18-13
However, Didcot's ill-discipline was a big contributor to the closeness of the half. A yellow card for Wes Clements was followed by a converted try from Crowthorne to take them into a 18-20 lead.
Didcot then rallied and playing with 14 men managed to regain the lead with a Sam Lacy try which was converted by Josh Watts. Score 25-20.
Then in the 83rd minute, Didcot settled the match with a third successful penalty from Josh Watts. Final Score: Didcot 28 - Crowthorne 20.
