goal frame led a charmed life when a Hemsworth header hit the post and
rebounded into keeper Brealey's arms but they did eventually equalise
on 22 mins when Healey fired in a strong shot from the edge of the
area. Town's crossbar came to the rescue again on 35 mins when a
sliced clearance from Mayala narrowly avoided the accolade of own goal
of the season.
Town made the most of their good fortune by re-taking the lead on
39mins when Cartledge scored a rare right foot goal at the near post
following a fine run and cross by Martin Wade
Town increased their lead on 53 mins when Cartledge headed on a
corner for Danny McKenzie
to score. They could have
increased their lead 2 mins later when Martin Wade
charged down a
clearance from the home keeper but the resulting ricochet hit the post
and was cleared.. On 75 mins Danny McKenzie
scored the goal of the
game when he cut in from the left and curled a right footed shot into
the net to make it 4-1 to the visitors. Hemsworth got a consolation
2nd goal in the last minute but Town emerged worthy winners.
