Dinnington Town suffered another defeat when visitors Hemsworth Miners Welfare took the points with a narrow 4-3 victory.Town have now gone six games without a win.On a heavy Phoenix Park pitch, the visitors started brightly and caused the home defence a number of early problems, but it was Dinnington who nearly took the lead on 17 mins when a typical surging run from Martin Wade
saw his shot rebound to safety off the post.
Hemsworth took the lead on 22 mins when Brett Renshaw took his chance well from a cross.Hemsworth had two further clear chances to increase their lead before half time but failed to convert either.Town's only scoring opportunity came when a goal bound Matt Lepianka header was cleared off the line with a spectacular diving header.
Manager Steve Toyne
made one change at half time bringing on Lanzel Reid for Josh Statham in an attempt to inject more pace into the home attack. The impact was immediate when Greg Ramsden
forced home a corner on 47 mins to level the scores.Town took the lead 6 mins later when Liam Cartledge
scored a trade mark header from another corner.Their lead was short-lived as Bret Renshaw got his second of the game losing his marker from a corner to score with a powerful header.Town battled back to take the lead when the lively Reid forced Matthew Starr to turn the ball into his own net.
Hemsworth pressed forward looking for an equaliser and sure enough this came on 80 mins when Town's defence failed to clear and Neil Pickergill slotted home. With home supporters thinking that a draw was probably a fair result, Damon Cassell converted another easy chance on 88 mins to steal the points.
