Social Events – Many thanks to Elaine Thorpe and her group of volunteers who raised close on £610 for the club from the Halloween night. Future events include:
• Saturday 17th December - Cheese & Wine
• Saturday 18th February - possible cocktail evening
• Friday 7th April - Junior Awards Presentation evening
• Saturday 8th April - Hockey Club Ball

Volunteers – Volunteers are always needed to help run the club. At the moment we are particularly keen for a volunteer run the club’s website which would provide them with valuable work experience. A new home page is being developed at the moment so it is an exciting time to take on the role. Abby O’Neil is also looking for volunteers to provide material for the website.

Pitch Surface – the committee agreed on a course of action to sort out our slippery astro surface. This will include a combination of algal treatment and more regular brushing

New Season 2016/17 – Both Ladies and Mens 1st team are riding high in their leagues making a fantastic start to the season. Increased numbers of men and ladies players have started the committee thinking about additional teams for next season whilst junior numbers have also gone up. Many congratulations to our England U16 juniors Annabelle Bennett, Matt White and Zak Jolly.

Membership 2016/17 - Annual membership payments are due by the end of November so please encourage anybody who has not paid do so now or talk to Bev Deakin about it. There are only two former players who have not paid their membership for last season. The committee agreed to pursue them through more formal debt collection.
