Also on the astro this Sunday 19th starting at 11am is the third round of matches in the SYHDG Summer Development League.

The 11:00 and 12:00 matches see Rotherham Boys and Rotherham Girls taking on Chapeltown opposition.

Then at 1pm Doncaster Girls A take on Sheffield Bankers Mixed team and will be hoping for better luck after two single goal defeats.

Doncaster Boys, managed by John Harratt, beat the Girls by a single goal last week; Adam Bambrough scoring his third goal in 2 matches. But the boys needed a number of excellent saves by female keeper Kayleigh Dickinson to hold on. This week they are last on at 2pm and meet the second Doncaster Girls side.

The league has run for many years and a number of our first team and other DHC members have come through this system. Teams are made up of at least 7 junior players aged 11-15, assisted by adult club members such as Steve Barton, Ade Shakesheff and Brad Reeve. Matches continue each week until the school holidays.
If you are free on Sunday have a wander down and see the future of DHC and others. The Clubhouse will be open from 11 am and Kirsty and Paul will be serving hot food in the clubhouse including bacon and sausage sandwiches and full breakfasts before they start up the BBQ at around 1pm
