Donnycarney Capture Title with a wonder Volley from Tony Murray.

Donnycarney FC have captured back to back titles by winning the AUL Premier B crown on Sunday. Last season’s Premier C champions will dine at the top table next season after an impressive and hard fought, never say die win over CIE Ranch which handed them the 2014 Premier B trophy.

The champions did it the hard way, after going behind after just five minutes to a Darren Brady strike. The destination of the title looked to be out of their hands after they went two down on 30 minutes after a Shaun Saul goal.

However, hope was restored just before the break when Mark McGuirk headed home a well delivered Mark Ludlow corner.
With just 15 minutes remaining, Donnycarney’s never say die attitude got them back into it after Alan Talbot pulled the ball back to McGuirk to slot home the leveler.

With the final whistle fast approaching, great work again from Talbot saw him cross to Tony Murray who clinically volleyed home from the edge of the box in the 88th minute to send the away bench and support into raptures. There was a nervous 7 mins of injury time that was played and in the final minute of that we had one more scare as there central midfielder got on to a through ball but good pressure from David Heary seemed to be enough to put him off.

Tony Murray has scored many goals like that this season but this one will be remembered for a long time in the Donnycarney Community and of course CASINO where Tony hails from.
