Dorking made the journey along the A3 to Worcester Park in round 16 of the Surrey Championship. Captain Toby Blood won the toss and chose to bat with Bradley Erasmus and Jonny Gale and the score moved confidently to 37 before Erasmus was dismissed for 8. Pitt joined Gale at the crease and both were excellent at punishing anything loose on offer. Gale was dismissed caught and bowled for a well bowled 43 but Pitt was seeing the ball well and alongside Douthwaite continued to build a sizeable score for the away side. Douthwaite injected some intensity into the innings as his 48 came off 45 balls and included back to back maximums before his dismissal with 185 on the board. Lee joined Pitt at the crease and played a fluent innings of 18 at a run a ball as Dorking looked to set a challenging score. Pitt reached a magnificent 100 with a leg glance to fine leg boundary with an innings that comprised of 10 boundary 4s and 2 maximums. Late order runs from Homewood (13) and contributions through the order meant Dorking finished on 272-7 from their allocated 50 overs.

In response, Worcester Park started positively and reached 79 before the first wicket fell. Young Edwards claiming the wicket of Troy McKenzie (29). New batsman struck his first two balls to the boundary with his motives clear. Corbett returned to the attack and dismissed the aggressive number 3 caught at mid on by Charlie Kenway. After drinks, Dorking applied a squeeze as the run rate increased and wickets fell as a consequence. Erasmus claimed the wicket of Hill (61) caught well by Corbett at mid on and Edwards struck a double blow in one over as the score read 139-5. Myers was introduced back into the attack and following an economical first spell, finally claimed his rewards with 3 wickets in one over as the game had completely swung in the visitors direction. Quickie Douthwaite returned to the attack and cleaned up the final wicket as Dorking won by 112 runs. Another 20 points and with 2 games to go it is all to play for.
