3 huge games to go.

With the wet weather having returned, Dorking v Oxted was delayed by 90 minutes to allow the pitch subsequent time to dry out. Dorking won what seemed a crucial toss and inserted the opposition into bat. Douthwaite struck an early crucial blow as the visitors skipper and prolific run scorer Simon Jackson edged behind without troubling the scorers. Cleaver (24) and Lloyd (46) steadied the ship before Myers took the former LBW with the score on 49. With the game reduced to 40 overs, Oxted reached 68 at the half way stage and Dorking were containing well. Oxted came out positively following the restart and Dalziel (30) was particularly positive in anything loose. Erasmus claimed the wicket of Dalziel with a excellent slower ball and Pitt showed his class with the ball cliaming 2 wickets himself as Dorking reduced Oxted to 115-7. Some expert death bowling from Corbett and Douthwaite limited Oxted to 30 from the final 10 overs with Corbett bowling 3 maidens in his 8 over spell. Powell (19) and Lack (12) helped Oxted to finish on 148-8 from their 40 overs. It was fantastic effort from the Dorking bowlers.

Eramus and Johnson opened up for the home side but were soon in trouble with Johnson being dismissed for 1. Gale and Erasmus put on 61 runs for the next wicket, with Bradley being the main aggressor contributing 60 to the partnership. Gale who occupied the crease well despite not troubling the scorers much, was dismissed for LBW from the bowling of Ross Powell. Douthwaite joined Brad at the crease and played positively from the off. Erasmus reached yet another century from 90 balls which included 11 fours and 6 sixes. Douthwaite fell for 27 just before the victory target was reached but the game was won. Bradley finished on 107 and Homewood 5 as Dorking won by 7 wickets.
