Passing of Member, Umpire and Friend Peter Creasey

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of clubman and much loved umpire Peter Creasey.

Peter passed away last week surrounded by his loved ones, are thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.

Peter who was a regular umpire for our club was respected and loved by both the Batsman and Bowlers of both DCC and Visiting sides down at Pixham Lane. He was a fair and impartial keeper of our game, who always had a tipple (or two) after the match with both sides.
A well known and loved figure in the surrounding community living in close proximity to DCC and having a successful career as a warden with the National Trust on Box Hill, he was a real asset to our close knit community.
Players of DCC wore black armbands the w/e of 3rd June as well as observing a minutes silence, we thank the visiting sides for helping us remember our much loved friend.
Details of his funeral and wake will be available at the club house for those who wish more information
Thanks you Peter for supporting DCC throughout your years of service, you shall always be a part of our clubs history and you will be missed standing behind those stumps of ours facing your Box Hill!
