Dover End Season in Style
Dover U16’s ended their season in style as they defeated a Calais squad 77 – 10 playing some champagne rugby along the way.
Dover welcomed back Joe Cooper from a long injury enforced break and it was good to see he has lost none of his enthusiasm for playing rugby.
In a match that was played in stifling heat, there was a party atmosphere throughout and although Dover dominated proceedings the match was enjoyed by all.
Dover ran in tries at regular intervals with, Harry Moore, Joe Cooper, Jason Mallory, George Pugh, Joe Dennis, Adam Penny, Aarron, Coleman, George Smith, and Tom Elliott all grounding the ball over the line.
This was a encouraging way to end this season before the team step up to U17’s when they will be playing in a league for the first time.
After the match, the Calais team were entertained at Crabble and the opportunity was taken to award the end of season trophies to:-
Top Try Scorer - Tom Elliott
Most Improved Back - Jason Mallory
Most Improved Forward - Aarron Coleman
Coaches Player - Angus Killen
Players Player - Jordan Annakie
Team: Aarron Coleman, Angus Killen, Robin Jenkins, Keiran Phillips, George Pugh, Keiran Hopper, Matt Ribbens, George Smith, Jason Mallory, Harry Moore, Joe Cooper, Joe Dennis, Tom Elliott, Kieran Ryder, Adam Penny, Tyler Walledge
