New Coaching Team announced for 2017-18

Dover RFC have appointed a new coaching set up for the 2017-18 season. Martyn Beaumont as head coach and Chris Lucas as assistant / Forward coach

The club has appointed Martyn Beaumont as Head Coach for the 2017-18 season. Beaumont is a product of the Dover youth system where he went on to captain the senior team for a number of years. Leaving in 2011 to embark of 6 successful years playing for Canterbury RFC in the national divisions, spending one year as captain. He returned to the club in January 2017 as backs player coach and as now stepped into the new head coach role with the departure of Danny Vaughan to Westcombe Park

Chris Lucas, assisting as Forward's Coach and team manager, is also a product of the Dover youth system. Lucas has been apart of Dover from a very young age and went on to be apart of the most successful Dover Senior team in club history on their rise to London 1 division rugby. He has also represent Kent on numerous occasions over his playing career.

Mark Finnis will be continuing as Director of Rugby to complete the Senior Coaching set up.

Dover RFC are delighted that Martyn and Chris have agreed to step up and together with a number of returning players, a great feeling of rebuilding is under way. This is being driven by the players for the players and their great will to re-energise the club following 3 or 4 tough seasons is really welcomed as the club refocuses on our core role as a Community Rugby Club for the people of Dover and the surrounding area.
