Cup final drama for U13s
So near but so far at Thornbury Tournament
the U13s had a great Thornbury tournament with our ‘A’ team making the quarter’s of the main cup where they lost narrowly to Avon Athletic 1-0 this was there only defeat of the tournament. They played some teams from higher divisions in the league and really matched them for quality.
Our ‘B’ team made the final of the main cup they got there by winning penalty shoot out’s in the quarters and semi’s but they could not make it a hat trick losing the final on penalties. They too played teams from higher divisions and were not outclassed.
The most pleasing thing was the great team spirit from the whole of the U13’s the ‘A’ team staying to support all the way through, they were a real credit to themselves and the club.
