Winter nets
DO NOT FORGET about the last winter net this Sunday 16.00 – 17.00!
They are in the Sports Hall at Chosen Hill School, Brookfield Road, Churchdown, GL3 2PL.
The cost is £3 per person per session, please make every effort to attend as the more people who turn up the better the sessions will be.
Club shop
Remember the clubs on-line shop is still open for business. If you need new kit for this year then get your orders in quick so you have everything you need before the season starts. The club sells casual clothing as well as cricket clothing and equipment and everything you buy will make money for the club. Please take a look and pick up a bargain.
Ground and jobs to do before the season starts
There are many jobs to be done on and off the field before the season starts. I require help in rolling the square. Ideally we should roll the square for approximately 40 hours pre- season (but not in one go so don’t worry). If ANYBODY would have a spare hour, evening or weekend please let me know, the roller is so simple to use and always available. I am more than happy to show anyone how it works and you can go and help yourself whenever you’re free.
We will be holding a working party on Saturday 9th April starting from 9.30am and need as many of you as possible to turn up and give us whatever little time you have to help us get the ground and clubhouse ready for the forthcoming season.
We need a minimum of 6 people to put the sightscreens back up but there are other jobs that still need doing so the more of you that turn up the less time the jobs will take.
The jobs that will need doing on the day:
Sightscreens need to be put back up and jetwashed if possible.
Doors and windows need to be cleaned.
Showers need to be cleaned.
Bar needs to be cleaned.
Advertising boards need to be put up.
The more people who come the better as more hands make light work. Please try and make it if you can, we plan to start at 9.30 -10am ish, and it should only take a couple of hours at the most!
We need YOU the players to help out!!! We have some of the best facilities in the County and the same people do this year in year out but in order to be ready for what promises to be a great summer of cricket so please come down, even if it's for an hour or half an hour just give whatever time you can.
Thank You
