Firstly congratulations to Ash Whitmore and Dan Yeates who have new arrivals to their families this year, this now brings the number of babies from last season to 4, and I think I’m right in saying there are another 5 expected during 2012. The youth team in 10 years time is looking strong!

The Clubhouse is open for business
The Clubhouse is open on Fridays again after the holiday break.

The Skittles team will be down there playing as they normally do. So if you feel like a pint, feel free to pop in to say hello! It's a new year and would be good to see some familiar faces.

See you there on a Friday night!

Winter nets
We have already booked the winter nets!! They will be once again held at:

CHOSEN HILL SCHOOL, 16.00 – 17.00 on:
March 11th, 18th, 25th,
April 1st, 8th, and 15th.

Please bring any new member young and old. The cost will be £3 per person per evening.

Club shop
Remember the clubs on-line shop is still open for business. There are few new arrangements you may wish to make a note of:

Online orders will continue to be placed in the same way with payment taken at checkout; Leisure items such as hoodies and polo shirts will be processed straight away, with a 10-14 day leadtime, whilst teamwear items (shirts, sweaters etc) will be collated for bulk production.
To manage this, we are introducing a series of monthly ordering deadlines and delivery times, which will be as follows :

Order by Sunday 18/03/12 – receive by 01/05/12
Order by Sunday 22/04/12 – receive by 01/06/12

80th Birthday
2012 will be the 80th year of Down Hatherley CC. We would like to plan a special event to celebrate this and are open to ideas. We are also planning to set up a separate committee to collate all of the ideas and would like anybody to put their names forward to go onto this committee. If you are interested please let me know so we can start planning.

Sponsorship
I am currently looking for sponsors to place an advert in our fixture book, the cost is only £20 so if you, or the company you work for would like to place an advert please let me know before the end of March.
We also have a few spaces left for advertising boards, so if you wish to have one of these as well as an advert in the fixture book let me know as soon as possible.

Forthcoming Events
We are in the process of organising several events through February and March. The dates are yet to be confirmed but there will be a skittles match against the airport on a Saturday the end of February beginning of March.

We are also trying to arrange another Race Night. The last one was a fantastic night enjoyed by everyone. This year we are joining with Gordon League Rugby Club who will host the event, we will run the night and share the profit from the Tote. Once again this will take place on a Saturday night the end of March.

Spring AGM
The SPRING GENERAL MEETING of the Club will be held in the Clubhouse on Monday 26th March 2012 at 7.30pm.

This is the meeting where we vote on the subs and fees for 2012 so if you don’t come along you can’t vote! Please would all members make every effort to attend and bring along any new prospective members. Please note this meeting STARTS at 7.30pm

Web Site
I think you will all agree the web site is looking great. Chris Prinsloo and Dan Yeates have worked hard in refreshing it but it needs as much news and information as we can put on it. If you have any information you think our members would like to know please send it either to Chris, Dan or myself and we’ll get it on the site.
