Hi All
I am looking in to the possibility of getting a new selection/range of kit for next season and beyond.
The ProSkins kit we have at the moment we have had for about 3 years now and I think we can all agree is probably not the best quality gear for the price we have paid for it.
The link below is on the locally founded Raging Bull website and the range shown as an example belongs to Ormskirk CC. the price of the kit is roughly the same as what we have paid for ProSkins but the quality and design looks a lot better in my opinion.
As it is YOU the players that will be buying the kit, it is down to YOU the players to voice your opinions on the possibility of changing the kit over.
Please leave comments below as to your thoughts.

Hi mate,
My thoughts.......
How do we know the quality is better than what we wear already? As for design, i'm not that fussed, as long as it has the DH crest on it.
We could always use the "Club Shop" facility on the Pitchero site. The Crusaders do. It means virtually everything will be in one place.
They have a good selection of kit and at a reasonable price. £21 for a playing shirt vs £27 on the Raging Bull website.
It's quite easy to set up to.
Matt, the quality of the polos, t-shirts, hoodies etc will be much better quality as I own raging bull clothing and the difference in quality is quite clear in regards to material, shape, sizing etc. At the moment polos and tees are priced on CF Sports at £16.70 and £12.55 and are 'Fruit of the Loom' sort of quality. Looking at some examples on Oxton cricket club on Raging Bulls website, a polo is £10 and A tee £7.50 (prices vary from club to club on their website) Playing shirts and trousers are £24.55 and £23 on our site but £22 and £22.50 on raging bull. The prices are roughly the same across the board but I believe the actual products will be better and will last longer.
Paul, Andy Deacon is the South Sales Manager at RB and as Dave Edwards knows him he is going to get some product examples so we can see the products and the actual quality of them before we decide to change over. I will also see if there is some similar deal we can strike with them as to what we have now. I don't see that being the most important aspect of the deal though as the club hasn't made that much money on it since the first year (maybe changing kit providers will generate more revenue for year 1 like it did with CF Sports) I'm going to get Dave to get a product catalogue too so we can decide what product range we choose. I'm sure we can have the green and yellow trim put on the shirts and sleeveless jumpers etc too.
Chris, I can assure the quality cannot get much worse mate, my cricket bag has fallen apart, the zips are broken and has rips all over it and so has a few other players bags. Dutson bought a pair of DH joggers from there and had to send them back 3 times as they were faulty.
I've spoken to a few players already and everyone seems keen to change as of next year, we've had ProSkins for 3 years now and could probably do with refreshing the look of the kit and the brand awareness that RB have will probably make players more likely to buy polo shirts etc so all players have club tops after the game looking more professional and creating more togetherness as a team and as a club.
To be honest the only kit I've bought from the site has been my playing shirt and kit bag because the other products didn't really look that great in design and quality but if we had a recognised brand I would be more likely to buy a tshirt, hoody and polo etc.
Likei said though it has to be a decision made as a club and not on a few individuals so throughout the season I will try to get product examples to bring down the club so players can see them.
i agree with matt. not too bothered where we go, as long as the quality is not worse.
At present we make money from every item we sell through our CF Sports shop, and the cost includes the logo of the sponsor and club on the shirts. We need to make sure the deal is the same with Raging Bull.
One other good thing is that players have to subscribe and buy the items themselves, and we do not reply on one person arranging the ordering and payment of items, but i guess this is the same as RB?
I'm not too bothered about the design, as long as it has a bit of green and not all white.
If we do get a new kit, are we expected to buy it? Are we also expected to buy polo shirts or other kit to wear after the game?
If we change to RB I'll buy new kit as I need some anyway. If we stay with CF I'll buy new kit as I need some anyway.
The cost for either seems similar I guess the design and quality are what we have to make the decision on.
I think Paul's point on the commission we take for every item sold through the CF shop is important, regardless of how little it is. If we can have a similar arrangement with RB or else have orders go through the club so we can add a "handling fee" or similar we can continue this benefit.
what are pro skins????
In May 2011 we had a rebate of £84.13 from CF Sports from profits through our shops, nearly another 2 subs for doing nothing. I think we need the same sort of deal from RB. We have made quite a bit from the shop over the years, £200 i think in the 1st year.
I have just seen an advert for RB in the rugby paper today and it says that ALL clubs will benefit from the following:
-FREE online shop
-Cash Back on purchases
-Potential for free kit
-Low minimum order numbers and priority service
-Fast turnaround times
-Stock &Bespoke products.
So looks like RB will offer cash back on purchases so it will just depend on what deal we can strike with Andy Deacon
having dealt with Andy last season for Gordon League, they are pretty good on turn round times, but be wary of the word 'potential' in the free kit section and how much kit we have to shift to get a free T shirt. At the end of the day he is a good bloke, rugby legend etc but he is still there to make a profit for RB.
Cheers. Rich, at least we can be confident that we're dealing with a company who will offer quick turn around times etc. To be honest as we don't get any free stuff now I can't see that being too much of a problem, as long as we get the "cash back off purchases" option included and the club gets the opportunity to make a bit of cash then that's the most important thing
Er

Cheers Steve I will be in touch soon as Canterbury was one of the options we had in mind.
Hi Dan, thanks your response, look forward to hearing from you in due course, cheers
Steve
Hi Steve, are you only contactable normal business hours or are you available in the evenings too?! As the season end is just over a month away I will need the lads at the club to know what they are potentially buying before then with illustrations etc so I will call you as soon as. Are you just available via email or telephone or are you able to meet us at our club to show drawings or samples?
Dan
Hi Dan
Please feel free to ring or email me. steve@onlinekit.co.uk 07951 858516. Not always available in evenings to speak but not objection to you ringing then.
Our offer is basically a stock branded offer, Surridge, Prostar or Canterbury on which we add your club logo and sponsors if required. If you give me your email address I can send you prices/information and links to catalogues.
We are in Whaley Bridge, Derbyshire so would not be able to come to the club. However, we work with many clubs all over the UK successfully to their total satisfaction
Look forward to hearing from you
Regards
Steve
