50th Anniversary Season
Dowty RFC Celebrate 50 Years of Rugby
Established back in 1961, Dowty Rugby Football Club will be 50 years old this season. Although the clubs history dates back even further than 1961, this date stands as the clubs founding year when teams from each Dowty factory site merged together as one at the Dowty Sports and Social Clubhouse, Staverton. To celebrate this milestone it is proposed to hold a joint formal dinner dance function and annual club awards evening, where both past and present players, committee, officials will be invited to enjoy a few drinks and raise a glass to Dowty RFC. The venue, date and cost for this will be confirmed soon.
There will also be club ties and shirts available for the players and to buy to wear on the evening. We are again looking to get the best deal on these and will release details as soon as we have them
