Droitwich performance does not reflect the final score as they created opportunities but could not get the killer touch
Droitwich made the short trip to Yardley, and started the game brightly playing the ball around the park and using the width and flanks to expose their hosts.
Yardley, played direct and their first goal came after a hefty clearance, dropping to their centre forward who collected and cooly rounded Robertshaw before dispatching the ball past Nick Bartle on the line.
Droitwich continued to press and began to use David Hindle down the right and fired a ball across the area and on ruhsing forwards couldn't streatch enough to find the finishing touch.
Timmis had fierce low shots saved well by the home keeper, and from another penalty corner, created confusion and the home side were unlucky not to be awarded a Penalty Flick and the defender saved the resulting shot from Andrew Rollason
Yardley drove through the heart of the Spa midfield and a swift one two sent in their striker and dispatched the shot to leave the half time score 2-0.
Droitwich continued to apply the pressure but could not find the way past the resolute defence as they scored further goals before Rollason scored a well taken effort from a short corner to give some respectability to their scoreline
The final score was 4-1
