A last game of the season against our friends away at Coalville gave the Colts a chance to have an end of season bus trip to finish the season with a bit of team bonding.
We started our first Colt's season in 25 years with lots of positives, if not the wins we sometimes deserved. however thats not what we are about, We are about getting players to show their potential to step up to a higher level and play senior rugby (Jack longdon).
We have had a number of players join us this season and have shown their potential already and we look forward to more joining next season.
Everyone turned up on time and got back on the bus on time to come home so the day was a success regardless of the result.
The weather was not great and the conditions wet to say the least.
Both teams did their best to play attractive rugby with Dronfield having the edge in the backs and Coalville having a very good pick and go tacking.
The Dronfield brains trust of Charlie Beynon, Ollie Yapp and Billy Wyton controlled the game with their kicking game and kept on turning Coalville which in the conditions worked well.
Stan Hoare scored a couple of tries, the second showing football skills worthy of Ronaldo. The other try scorer was Morgan Lewis who scored after a magnificent break beating 3 Coalville players.
Our thanks to Coalville for hosting plenty of fun and games after the match and making us feel really welcome.
We look forward to meeting up again next season.
