History
The main highlight in the Club's recent history came in 1987 when the clubhouse was built by the members and opened by former England cricketer and current TV pundit David Gower and his then Leicestershire Team.
Our Membership totals approximately 150 of which over 50% are Juniors, we boast five junior teams, three compete in the Lancashire County League, with the under 11s playing in the Tameside Junior League. Weekly coaching courses are carried out by our qualified coaches and held from January through to August.
We currently have three senior teams who compete in the reputable Lancashire County League. This provides opposition within a 20 mile radius of Manchester. Club attire such as tracksuits, cricket shirts and caps are passionately worn by our members providing an excellent advertising opportunity for any would be sponsor.
The facilities at the club are fully utilised throughout the year, when along with our own fixtures, it is used by works teams, schools and the local Council. Between the months of April and September the ground is used seven days a week.
We are particularly proud of our clubhouse and in particular the function room which can hold up to 120 people or 80 for a sit down meal. It is hired by the local community for parties such as weddings, christenings, retirements and birthdays. In winter the club is used by Dukinfield Amateurs Football Club who share our bar and changing facilities.
Our Membership also enjoy planned evenings, such as theme nights, live bands, a sportsmans dinner, BBQs, Valentines Dance, Race Day and an annual golf day.
