The crowd for our special Non League Day match, supporting the Mayor of Southwark's charities, & promoting the excellent work being carried out by the anti-racist & discrimination Kick It Out campaign was an amazing...
TWO THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED AND FIFTY SIX
Yes that's 2,856!
Our previous best at the current Champion Hill Stadium, which opened in 1992, was 1,835 against Southport in the first round proper of the FA Cup back in 1998.
And the ground record was also smashed, far exceeding the 2,274, when the now defunct Fisher Athletic defeated AFC Wimbledon in a Ryman League Premier Division play-off semi final game in 2006; with the vast majority of that crowd being away fans.
Thank you again to everyone who came to the game yesterday...we are at home again next Saturday, to Worthing, in the first qualifying round of the FA Cup. Please come back...
It's a three o'clock kick off, only £10 for adults & £4 for our range of concessions. They are Over 60's; 12 to 18 year olds; unwaged; students; local NHS workers; workers from the three emergency services & current members of the armed services.
And ALL children under the age of 12 are ALWAYS admitted FREE to Hamlet games at Champion Hill.
So see you there!
