Dulwich were comprehensively beaten as they failed to come to terms with a difficult pitch and more physical opponents; slipping to 4th in the table

Dulwich were roared on for the full 90 minutes (and beyond) by their magnificent army of traveling fans but they couldn't inspire a win for the team.

It was the home side that dominated from the start and took a 4th minute lead as the ball broke in the box to ex Hamlet player Cedric Ngakam who stabbed the ball over the advancing Phil Wilson.

Dulwich were struggling to get any rhythm into their play and it was Billericay who were quicker to the ball and pushing forward. In fact, on 15 minutes it was almost 2-0 as a free header was put wide.

It took until the 29th minute for Dulwich to muster an effort on goal and then Kershaney Samuels blazed over. Four minutes later it was 2-0 as a Josh Ekim free kick beat Phil Wilson to the corner he was guarding; a shot he will probably feel he should have saved.

Half Time 2-0

It would be fair to say the second half took a long time to get going. The home side kept The Hamlet easily at bay whilst looking to break quickly.and in Joe Benjamin they had a player who could hold the ball up and give them an outlet.

The introduction of Harry Ottaway gave Dulwich a better focal point for their attack but they struggled to create much of note until two minutes from time.

A clumsy challenge sent Dean Lodge tumbling in the box but any hope of a grandstand finish was dashed as home keeper Billy Lumley dived low to his right to save Xavier Vidal's spot kick.
