A jaded looking Dulwich side were well beaten as Billericay used the elements to establish an unassailable first half lead.

Playing their fourth game in 8 days, and missing the midfield presence of the influential Ibrahim Kargbo, The Hamlet were unable to produce their usual level of performance in front of an impressive crowd of 2805.

Billericay won the toss and used the wind to their advantage in a devastating opening half hour that sealed victory. Billericay quickly established their dominance and Dulwich had to scramble away an O'Hara free kick in only the 2nd minute, whilst a 5th minute free kick from the same player was headed out for a corner. Preston Edwards then just held another O'Hara free kick before Billericay took a 9th minute lead.

A long ball into the box saw Preston Edwards and Matt Drage both fail to deal with it and Adam Cunnington needed no second invitation to head the visitors in front.

Dulwich finally came to life and, after O'Hara was booked for a foul, Ashley Carew's free kick was well saved low to his right by Julian.

As Dulwich pressed for an equaliser, Dumebi Dumaka had an effort blocked before Julian produced a brilliant save to deny Gavin Tomlin, after Dipo Akinyemi had crossed from the right.

However, it was Billericay who grabbed a second goal in the 19th minute. Matt Johnson hurled a long throw into the 6 yards box and Joseph Ellul flicked a header past Preston Edwards.

It was all Billericay and Cunnington fired wide, whilst Dulwich were gratefully to scramble away other opportunities. Therefore, it was not a surprise when Billericay grabbed a third goal on the half hour. A long ball over the top on the Dulwich right was crossed back from the goal line and Jake Robinson stooped to head in.

Dulwich were now into damage limitation and Matt Drage had to thwart Robinson as he bore down on goal, whilst Lawrence volleyed wide.

Dulwich kept plugging away and had a good shout for a penalty turned down right on half time when Matt Drage was bundled over in the box as he tried to seize on a clear opportunity with the ball loose in the box.

Half Time 0-3

With the result in little doubt, the second half was a low key affair. Dumebi Dumaka had an effort saved just before the hour mark before a flare up between Ashley Carew and Billericay substitute Mekhi McLeod saw the latter sent off whilst Carew was cautioned.

Dipo Akinyemi was unable to apply a decisive touch to a Nathan Green cross, allowing Julian to save, as Dulwich looked to capitalise on their numerical advantage.

Akinyemi then headed wide following a Nyren Clunis cross and Michael Chambers saw a volley blocked in front of the line. Then for Billericay, a quick break out by substitute Lewis Taafe saw Preston Edwards make a great save

With 7 minutes remaining Dulwich thought they had pulled one back when Ashley Carew picked out Omar Koroma at the far post but his header was ruled out for offside.

Koroma couldn't get a clean contact on an 86th minute cross which ensured Dulwich would draw a rare blank at home.

Final Score 0-3
