A solitary goal immediately after half time from Xavier Vidal secured a first win in 8 for The Hamlet.

Dulwich opened the match in confident mood as they took the game to their visitors. Soon they had the chance to take an early lead as a misplaced pass by Bury's Wes Dunbar was intercepted by Xavier Vidal in the centre of the field. He surged forward into the box where he was brought down by Bury keeper Marcus Garnham.

In the absence of regular penalty taker Erhun Oztumer, Kevin James assumed the responsibility but his shot low to the keeper's right was turned behind by Garnham.

Dulwich continued to push forward but struggled to create openings against their opponents who seemed happy to absorb pressure and break when the opportunity arose.

As half time approached Dulwich began to resume the ascendancy and Kevin James headed just over whilst a lovely ball from Dean Lodge set Tommy Whitnell clear but he was thwarted by Garnham.

Half Time 0-0

Within a minute of the restart Dulwich were ahead. Dean Lodge embarked on a surging run down the right and his cross eventually fell to Xavier Vidal who fired home emphatically.

If this was supposed to settle the home side's nerves then it had the opposite effect as it galvanised the visitors to be more adventurous. Peter Adeniyi had to be alert to hook the ball off the line and the visitor's Joe Whight saw his header come back off the post, Phil Wilson smothering the rebound.

Bury continued to pour forward in search of an equaliser and only some fine last ditch defending preserved the home side's lead.

However, despite this Dulwich held out to enhance their play off hopes.
