Dulwich were denied all 3 points by an equaliser from old boy Kenny Beanley in the 5th minute of time added on.

This was a pulsating game full of good passing football yet, despite not a bad tackle in the game, resulted in both sides finishing with 10 men.

The outcome could have been different if Grays had played most of the second half with 10 men and without their first choice goalkeeper. This crucial incident occurred in the 49th minute as Nyren Clunis raced on to a ball through the middle and, as he tried to round LamarJohnson some 35 yards from goal, the keeper handled to thwart his progress. To the astonishment of the majority of the crowd the keeper was only booked.

At this stage Dulwich were a goal to the good through a 19th minute goal from Ashley Carew, who fired a low drive from 20 yards that beat Johnson low to his right, following good play on the right from Nelson & Hibbert.

Prior to the goal it was Grays who ha d the majority of possession and chances. As early as the 2nd minute, Phil Wilson had to be quickly off his line to the thwart Joao Carlos.

Nyren Clunis had a 5th minute effort blocked by Cronin and, at the other end, Dumaka embarked on a fine run not matched by the weak finish.

Grays had the ball in the net in the 11th minute, Dumaka getting away on the left and firing a shot that Wilson parried into the path of Stevens who stroked into the net only to be adjudged offside.

It was against the run of play when Carew gave The Hamlet the lead and Grays should have levelled almost immediately after as Leader was given a free header from a corner but he struck the crossbar.

Beaney, Tomlinson & Dumaka all had chances to equalise before good work from Clunis set up Hibbert on the stroke of half time but he failed to get a shot away.

Half Time 1-0

Dumaka had a 47th minute effort deflected wide before the incident that should have seen Johnson take an early use of the showers. He then produced a fine stop when Erskine turned on the edge of the area.

Grays right back Ifill fired a cross that evaded everybody in the box and Carlos had an effort pushed wide by the diving Wilson, who also saved a Siva free kick low to his right.

Danny Waldren produced two good blocks that snuffed out dangerous efforts, whilst Wilson & Pinnock somehow kept out efforts during a goalmouth scramble.

With the game entering stoppage time, Dumaka received a harsh second booking as he was late on his shot and caught a defender. Waldren was equally unfortunate to receive a second caution as he seemed to slip into his opponent on the greasy surface.

Then came the late late equaliser.. Wilson came out to clear and sliced his clearance into touch, the resulting throw was hurled into the box where the headed clearance bounced off the back of a Grays player's head and looped up for Beaney to head home.

Final Score 1-1
