Following the victory over Harlow Town on Tuesday, Gavin Rose made only one change to the matchday squad, and that was an enforced one, with Quade Taylor replacing the suspended Sanchez Ming.

In front of another bumper home crowd of 1683, Dulwich got off to a bright start with Nyren Clunis to the fore. He had a 2nd minute effort pushed away at the near post by visiting keeper Garnham and was regularly getting the better of Wilkinson the visitors left back.

Ashley Carew fired wide after a Clunis cross was cleared to the edge of the box, and a delightful through ball from Matt Drage was just out of the reach of Ibra Sekajja, as Dulwich sought an early goal.

However, the visitors always looked to spring forward quickly and Matt Drage had to be alert to cut out a dangerous cross from the left with Liam Wales waiting to pounce behind him,

Dumebi Dumaka was the next to find Clunis on the right and, having made his way into the penalty area, he was just unable to get on the end of his cross shot. Clunis then shot too high as Dulwich pressed for a breakthrough.

Preston Edwards was finally called into action in the 24th minute when he had to get down to his right to hold an effort from visiting captain Sam Clarke.

A delightful back heel from Dumaka sent Clunis clear on the left but Garnham was out quickly to whip the ball off his toes, whilst another Clunis cross saw Dumaka head the ball against the bar.

Half Time 0-0

Dulwich returned to the attack at the start of the second half and it took only two minutes for them to take the lead. Ashley Carew crossed from the right and Dumaka got across his marker at the near post to flick past Garnham for his first goal for the club.

Clunis went close again from a Quade Taylor cross and Sekajja shot wide after Dumaka had intercepted a wayward pass, whilst Gavin Tomlin fired just wide after a flowing move from side to side across the pitch had stretched the Sudbury defence.

The Dulwich defence were able to deal with any threats although they were pleased to be able to scramble the ball away when a cross from the left caused confusion in the home defence.

Nyren Clunis then had a gilt edged chance to add a second as a quick break caught Sudbury short of defenders. However, he fired wide. He was also denied by Garnham as he cut in from the left but saw his effort to fire across the keeper pushed out to safety.

As Sudbury looked for an equaliser, Matt Drage blocked a goal bound effort and Nathan Green had to react quickly to clear after Preston Edwards was unable to hold a cross when challenged in the air.

Drage was also on hand to dispossess Wales as he was given space to run at the retreating defence, before Gavin Tomlin calmed any nerves by adding a classy second goal with 8 minutes remaining. Receiving the ball from a throw in on the right, he turned inside before delivering a shot that gave Garnham no chance.

Dulwich now looked comfortable, but did come under some pressure as the game entered stoppage time. Henshaw shot wide from the edge of the area and Wales was unable to get sufficient pace on his effort when he met a cross from the left; Preston Edwards gratefully falling on his tame effort.

With time almost up Williams had an effort saved low to his left by Edwards as Dulwich preserved their clean sheet.

Final Score 2-0
