The much anticipated friendly against our friends from Altona did not disappoint the crowd of 764.

Dulwich opened with what looked like their squad side and were embarrassed to find themselves 5-0 down at the interval as every Altona attack seemed to end with a goal

It took only 7 minutes for the visitors to take the lead as neat play on the left saw a clever pass threaded beyond the Hamlet defence for Nick Brisevac to roll past Oshane Brown.

After Steve Sutherland had headed a Kevin James free kick over the bar, Altona grabbed a second goal in the 17th minute, Kevin Trenel racing through the middle.

On 22 minutes Steve Sutherland was adjudged to have committed a foul in the box and Benjamin Lipke confidently converted.

Dulwich should have pulled a goal back in the 24th minute as Jordan Robertson set up Emiliano Hysi but his shot was weak and was kicked off the line.

An incisive 33rd minute attack by Dulwich saw Emiliano Hysi, Wilson Carvalho and Jordan Robertson combine and the latter's shot beat the keeper but rebouned out off the post.

It was soon 4-0 as Sven Kornwr was left in space to score before Hysi became the second Dulwich player to strike the post.

However, three minutes from half time it was 5-0 as Felix Brugman fired home after more indecisive defending.

Half Time 0-5

The second half saw both Robertson and Hysi have opportunities, whilst at the other end Oshane Brown had to produce two good saves to prevent a sixth goal.

On the hour it was all change for The Hamlet as Gavin Rose introduced the team that had started the initial pre season friendly against Peterborough on Wednesday. This saw a complete change in the game.

Within three minutes Dulwich had pulled a goal back as Albert Jarrett had a shot parried and Jacob Erskine thumped home the rebound.

Nyren Clunus twice went close, Jacob Erskine curled a shot against the bar and Damian Scannell headed over the bar from six yards out.

Four minutes from time Ashley Carew curled home a delightful free kick from the edge of the box to give Dulwich a second goal.

The final goal was possibly the best. Ashley Carew lifted an inch perfect pass into the path of Albert Jarrett whose first time shot was directed high into the net.

Full Time 3-5
