Dulwich, playing in an unfamiliar all purple kit to commemorate International Women's Day, were able to bring back captain Kenny Beaney from suspension and reintroduce Dipo Akinyemi who was cup tied in the FA Trophy.

Dulwich were quickly into their stride as they forced Merstham back from the start. Visiting keeper Josh Smith had to leap high to his left to stop a 5th minute shot from Matt Drage, as he got on the end of a Kenny Beaney cross from the right.

Another save from Smith kept out a 7th minute shot from Sanchez Ming but he was just delaying the inevitable and Dulwich went ahead in the 10th minute. A cross from the right saw Gavin Tomlin tee up Nathan Green for a simple finish.

Ashley Carew had an effort that went just wide before Merstham threatened for the first time as Tom Kavanagh shot just wide. For Dulwich, Dipo Akinyemi also shot just wide before Gavin Tomlin doubled the lead in the 24th minute.

Ashley Carew found Sanchez Ming down the right and Smith could only push Ming's deflected cross into the path of Gavin Tomlin, who chested the ball over the line.

Akinyemi then overheat a pass that would have put Tomlin in the clear and he also came close to intercepting a pass from Smith.

However, Dulwich soon added a third with ten minutes until half time. Nathan Green embarked on a trademark run and was baulked by Henriques just outside the penalty area. Gavin Tomlin stepped up and curled an effort that beat Smith high to his right.

With the game seemingly already won, Dulwich took their foot off the gas and Merstham should have pulled a goal back two minutes before the break. Michael Chambers left a back header short but Dan Hector fired well wide.

Half Time 3-0

Perhaps understandably Dulwich started the second half slowly and, having been introduced at half time, Omar Folkes forced Preston Edwards into a fine save.

Dulwich should have added a fourth goal when Gavin Tomlin accelerated away from the defence and poked the ball past Smith. With the ball seemingly heading into the net, Dipo Akinyemi decided to make sure but was offside.

However, it wasn't long before Akinyemi made amends by adding the fourth goal with still less than an hour played. Gavin Tomlin delivered a corner that was cleared back to him. His cross was met by the head of Akinyemi and, although Smith clawed the ball out, the Assistant indicated it had crossed the line,

Dulwich continued to dominate without creating any clear chances but did add a fine goal to complete the scoring seven minutes from time. A fine move down the left saw Kenny Beaney move the ball to Nathan Green and he in turn passed inside to substitute Panutche Camara. He then produced a sublime turn and finish for his first goal for The Hamlet.

There was one further chance for Merstham to register a goal but Reece Hall fired wide.

Full Time 5-0
