The Addicks will be sending along a strong squad drawn from their successful Academy setup which has already produced a number of first teamers regulars, both at the Valley and beyond. Last season the Under 18s under Sergei Baltacha retained the Professional Development League 2. Meanwhile the Under 21s reached the semi-finals of the National Knockout stage after finishing top of the South Division.

Joshua Umerah topped the scoring charts for the Under 21s with 18 goals and made his first team debut away to Hull City in a 6-0 defeat back in January. Fellow forwards Karlan Ahearne-Grant and Northern Irish Under 21 international Mikhail Kennedy have already marked the cards of the management after appearing in the senior squad whilst goalkeeper Dillon Phillips helped Cheltenham Town to the National League title last season, manager Gary Johnson enthusing over the talents of the young custodian. Another in the squad to have broken through to the first team is midfielder Regan Charles-Cook. All are expected to play a major part in the game.

This evening’s game kicks off at 7.45 pm at Champion Hill Stadium, Edgar Kail Way, East Dulwich, London SE22 8BD.
