A first goal after his long injury from Harry Ottaway was a welcome sight for all Hamlet fans. However, this was a game they should have won.

Dulwich named an unchanged starting line up from their victory at Harrow Borough. The game was slow to come to life and it was 10 minutes before there was any threat to either goa!.

Dulwich could have grabbed the lead in the13th minute when Ethan Pinnock put a free header wide from an Ashley Carew corner. This was the prelude to a couple of further chances as Nyren Clunis was tackled when well placed. This was quickly followed by good play from Xavier Vidal & Terrell Forbes that saw the latter's low cross spilled by Hughes in the home goal before being scrambled clear.

Kershaney Samuels & Nyren Clunis both went close whilst at the other end Terrell Forbes got just enough on a header back to Oshane Brown as a home forward closed in.

Dulwich pressure finally told as Omar Koroma crossed from the right and Nyren Clunis bundled the ball over the line after Hughes had partially stopped his initial effort.

Three minutes later The Hamlet launched a counter attack from well inside their own half. Xavier Vidal carried the ball forward before slipping a perfectly weighted pass into the path of Nyren Clunis. However, Hughes was swiftly off his line to block.

Next it was Kershaney Samuels who almost doubled the lead. His 27th minute effort was curled from the left edge of the penalty area and beat Hughes dive but crashed back off the post.

It was the 34th minute before Oshane Brown was called into action again but this time he had to go full length to his left to push the ball behind.

The next chance saw Xavier Vidal have an effort saved by Hughes whilst Brown brilliantly pushed aside a goalbound effort at the other end. Hughes then had to be quickly out of his area to clear as Xavier Vidal looked to play in Nyren Clunis.

Before half time Hughes was again called into action as he pushed out an Ashley Carew shot but there was no Dulwich player on hand to finish.

Half Time 0-1

Dulwich opened the second half well and within 3 minutes of the restart Ashley Carew & Xavier Vidal combined on the right. Vidal's cut back found Carew but his effort was saved.

Two minutes later and the scores were level. The referee adjudged a handball against The Hamlet and Sam Higgins emphatically converted from the spot

Dulwich should have been back in front five minutes later as Nyren Clunis got to a through ball but his effort was blocked by the onrushing Hughes in the home goal. The ball ran loose behind him and a covering defender. As Clunis regained his feet he looked to have an open goal but the prone defender clearly handled the ball on the ground to them it away from his path. Somehow this escaped the attention of the officials.

It was the introduction of Harry Ottaway around the hour mark that turned the game back in the Hamlet's favour. His cross to the far post was just too high for Omar Koroma before Ottaway himself put Dulwich back in front.

Omar Koroma laid the ball off to Ottaway on the edge of the box and he unleashed a shot that flew past Hughes low to his right and just inside the near post.

Dulwich looked to control the tempo of the game and with six minutes left almost had the third goal that would have wrapped up the points. Vidal released Ottaway on the right and the latter's shot rattled the bar with Hughes rooted to the spot.

East Thurrock gained new momentum from their let off and equalised with 3 minutes remaining as Paul Goodacre scored with a far post header from a corner.

Now it was the home side who for the first time in the game looked the likely winners as Frazer Shaw had to be alert to clear and Oshane Brown had to produce a fine low save in stoppage time.

Final Score 2-2
