This was a hard earned point and a gutsy performance, The Hamlet playing for an hour with 10 men following a sending off for Matt Drage.

Gavin Rose introduced new signings Dipo Akinyemi & Roman Michael-Percil, and both had impressive debuts in a backs to the wall performance

The first chance fell to the home side in the 12th minute when Devyne met a cross from the Enfield left but couldn't keep his effort down.

Dulwich did not threatenl until nearly 20 minutes had elapsed and then Clunis had his cross blocked. The next chance came in the 23rd minute as a scramble in the box saw the ball land at the feet of Akinyemi but he couldn't get a shot away as McDonald rushed off his line and flattened him. This was the sort of challenge that goalkeepers get away with but for which any outfield player would be instantly penalised..

Dulwich went in front in the 28th minute when the impressive Clunis created space on the right and whipped in a cross that evaded the onrushing Michael-Percil but was converted left footed by Jack Dixon at the far post.

However, they were reduced to 10 men just two minutes later when Matt Drage received a second yellow card for a mistimed challenge, having been harshly booked earlier for handball.

Dulwich comfortably survived with their lead intact until half time aFrere making a tactical change by withdrawing Kevin James and bringing on Mitchell Nelson as a direct replacement for Drage.

Half Time 0-1

The lead lasted only 2 minutes following the break. Preston Edwards made a full length save flying tout his left but, from the resulting corner, the ball wasn't cleared and Kirby thumped home.

However, the 10 men rallied and retook the lead in the 55th minute. Akinyemi played the ball wide to Clunis. He beat his marker and delivered a magnificent cross that was met by the unmarked Akinyemi at the far post.

Enfield pressed forward looking for an equaliser and Edwards had to race to the edge of his box when a ball inside Hibbert left
Whitely clear on goal.

Tyler Campbell should have equalised just past the hour. His run from right back took him straight through the middle of the Dulwich defence
but he shot wide from 15 yards.

Edwards then had to make a fine double save as Dulwich rocked under the home side's pressure. He also saved from Devyne and held an overhead kick.

Whitely fired wide from another good chance as Dulwich made a mess of clearing the ball but made amends with 9 minutes left. Another mistake left him clear and he went around during Edwards before rolling the ball into the empty net.

Enfield then pressed hard for the winner and Edwards had to make another good save from Whitely to preserve a hard earned point.

Full Time 2-2
