A game in which Dulwich were hassled and harried by the home team was decided by a trademark free kick from Ashley Carew with 9 minutes remaining.

Harrow certainly had the better of the play on a difficult surface as they harassed Dulwich throughout the game and disrupted their passing game, although clear scoring chances were at a premium.

As early as the second minute, a swift break by the home side resulted in a great chance that was blazed high and wide with a disappointing finish. Immediately play broke to the other end where Muhammadu Faal slipped when taking on the Harrow defence and the chance was gone.

The home side were doing most of the pressing but it was Dulwich who had a great chance to take a 14th minute lead. Ashley Carew found Nyren Clunis and his deflected cross sat up for Muhammadu Faal but he struck his effort too high. A mazy dribble from Ashley Carew saw him crowded out as he failed to get a shot away and Marc Weatherstone headed just too high from a Carew corner.

Harrow had an effort that appeared to strike the outside of the post and Preston Edwards tipped one over via the bar, whilst they also had a couple of free kicks that despite being well struck were off target. However, they should have taken the lead two minutes from the break when a clean break through the middle only resulted in a tame shot straight at Preston Edwards.

Dulwich then came close to taking a 44th minute lead as a fine cross from Quade Taylor saw Dumebi Dumaka plant a header inches wide .

Half Time 0-0

Although Gavin Rose sent the Dulwich side out early for the second half, it was Harrow who should have been ahead within a minute of the restart. A cross shot was deflected off a Dulwich defender and looped over Preston Edwards. However, it struck the far post and rebounded into play before being scrambled away by the Dulwich defence.

A further effort from the home side went wide, before a similar fate befell efforts from Ibrahim Kargbo, Muhammadu Faal and Kenny Beaney.

Dulwich managed to defend a series of corners from the home side but were not being seen as an attacking threat. However, that changed in the 81st minute following a crude foul on substitute Nana Boakye-Yiadom . Ashley Carew stepped up and curled a delightful free kick over the wall and past the despairing dive of Minter in the home goal.

Harrow tried to right this perceived injustice in the score line and forced a number of corners, with one seeing a header hacked off the line. However, Dulwich wasted a glorious opportunity when Nathan Ferguson had a clear run on goal from the halfway line but could only fire straight at Minter.

Final Score 0-1
