Sponsors for Race Night wanted

6 months ago By Mishi Morath

On Saturday 20th January we are holding a Race Night, to raise funds to get our team to Germany in July

For those of you who don't know of the concept of a race night, it's where nine different races are shown, and the fans present in the bar can place fun bets on the horse of their choice, with the pay-out to the winners being based on a tote system, based on the amount of tickets sold for that horse.

It's fun for all the family, and the first race is in the Club Bar, at 7.00pm, after the home game with Merstham. That will give you time to have a few post-match pints before the fun begins, or you can go home if you're local and have your evening meal, before coming back.

EVERY PENNY raised on the night will go towards getting the First Team squad to Hamburg in July when we embark on a two-game tour as part of our 125th-anniversary celebrations.

We are getting closer to our final target of fund-raising, and with your backing this event will almost get us over the finishing line.

But we need your sponsorship as well!

On the night we will have a Race Card, where we need race sponsors, at £30 a go, where you can name the race itself; as well as individual horse sponsors at £10 a go, where you can give your nag a name.

Please speak to Mishi Morath this afternoon at the match with Folkestone Invicta to sponsor either races or horses.

We need the sponsorship to cover the cost of staging the evening, and if all horses and races are covered we shall be in profit before the first race begins!

In anticipation, thank you all for your support and backing of what promises to be a wonderful evening.
