Following Saturday's poor performance, Gavin Rose kept faith with the majority of the side but Phil Wilson returned from injury in goal, influential midfielder Ashley Carew was also fit and youth team prospect Shawn McCoulsky was handed a full debut up front.
The game got off to a slow start with VCD pressing forward before, after 10 minutes, Kershaney Samuels produced a shot that brought a good tip over from home keeper Nick Blue.
Four minutes later, a fine cross from Jordan Hibbert was volleyed back from beyond the far post by Lewis Gonsalves but Dean McDonald saw his shot saved.
Shawn McCoulsky then chased and long ball and rose above the keeper in an aerial challenge for the bouncing ball but he could only shoot across goal from a tight angle.
Phil Wilson was then called into action as he produced a fine save to keep out a well struck shot from James Duckworth that was heading for the top left hand corner of the goal.
Gradually The Hamlet started to get their passing game going and it came as no surprise when they finally took the lead. Kershaney Samuels swept the ball out to the Dulwich left and Shawn McCoulsky delivered a fine cut back that Dean McDonald despatched into the top corner.
Half Time 0-1
The Hamlet were quickly out of the blocks in the second half and Kershaney Samuels saw his well hit shot well saved. However, they were indebted to the alertness of Phil Wilson as he was quickly out to thwart a chance for the home side on 49 minutes.
Dulwich looked dangerous and Shawn McCoulsky showed great strength to win a touchline tussle with Elliott Cox before advancing and firing wide of the near post.
The second goal that had looked likely for some time arrived on 65 minutes as an Ashley Carew cross saw Dean McDonald's shot blocked but Lewis Gonsalves stabbed the loose ball home.
Four minutes later thw third goal arrived. A VCD corner was punched clear by Phil Wilson and Shawn McCoulsky picked up the loose ball. His pace took him away from the home defence before he found Ashley Carew whose clever pass found the onrushing Ibrahim Mansaray who scorwd via the far post for his first Hamlet goal.
The closest that the home side came to a goal was when ex Hamlet player Dean Carpenter fired wide but there were no real alarms as Dulwich closed out a comfortable victory.
