The best way to keep up to date with Dulwich Hamlet Football Club

We don't want the shirt off your back

Just your old jackets and coats! Bring them along to help others next Tuesday 14th November, our next home match

Understandably many Hamlet fans are concerned about the future of our Club at the moment and are supporting our own fundraising.

But, unlike the well-known saying, charity doesn't always begin at home. And here's an initiative where we don't want you to dig deep into your pockets.

Which is why we're asking you all to have a bit of a rummage to see what coats and jackets you or your family have, that you no longer need....but many people in less fortunate circumstances that yourselves most certainly do.

For our match next Tuesday night-whether it be at home to Harrow Borough or an FA Trophy replay hosting Harlow Town- we will have a table set up just inside the ground as you come through the turnstiles, as a collection point for Wrap Up London. In the event of wet weather this will be changed to the far end of the bar, in the dry.

Here we tell you more about what they do, and why it really is important than you dig out your old stuff, that really will make a difference to someone else this coming winter:

Now in its 7th year, Wrap Up London sees Londoners looking after their own by donating spare coats and jackets to those in the capital who struggle to keep warm in the winter months. Coats are distributed via homeless shelters, refugee centres, organisations supporting the elderly, women’s refuges, children’s centres and other charities helping people in crisis.

Wrap Up London accepts men’s, women’s and kids’ coats, but in 2017 we’re emphasising the need for men’s coats as each year we have a high demand for these coats but never get enough. With International Men’s Day on 19 Nov, make sure everyone who needs a coat gets one!

Maybe you’ve been meaning to clear out the wardrobe, or under your bed, or wherever it is you keep your spare coats. Maybe you’re just looking for an excuse to buy that new coat you saw in the shop window. Whatever your reasons, don’t forget to bring your spare coats to the Dulwich Hamlet home match on 14th November and give them to one of our volunteers.

Please note: Wrap Up London only accept donations of coats and jackets.
