Dunbar P3 v Livingston
Dunbar in the mix against Livingston.
Dunbar P3 minis entertained Livingston at Hallhill on Sunday. Dunbar again had somewhat greater numbers than the opposition with 9 Livingston players and 20 Dunbar players making game time for the home players rather sparse.
The first match saw Livingston the victors by 4 tries to 2 with Morgan Laird scoring both the Dunbar tries. There were not enough Dunbar players getting on the ball which was disappointing. Several players were getting into space and in good positions but they were being starved of the ball. Something for the coaches to work on.
The second match was a lot tighter but again it was Livingston who narrowly won that one by a single try. A similar situation as the first match, with the same players on the ball for most of the game.
The final match was the closest match with both teams scoring two tries each. Again opportunities were there but the space not being utilised. Ben Salkeld scored both Dunbar tries.
In all the matches the Livingston players were not retreating which gave the Dunbar boys little space at times.
The next home match has two teams visiting so hopefully the boys will get more game time then.
