Derek White played for both Scotland and the British Lions.
Graeme Budge played for Dunbar, went on to play for Scotland and the British Lions. I'm also sure Douglas Elliot played for Dunbar and went onto play for Scotland and the British Lions. There was also someone called Aitken that played for Dunbar and also Scotland but can't remember his first name.
Ritchie Aitken played for Dunbar, London Scottish, United Services and Scotland. His only cap was against Wales in 1947 and the cap sits proudly in cabinet at Hallhill. He served in the Royal Navy and was a Lieutenant Commander. Grahame Budge did indeed play for Scotland and the British Lions. He was dropped from Dunbar first xv due to the fact he kept getting penalised for barging at the line out. The next season he played for Edinburgh Wanderers and was capped by Scotland and toured with the Lions playing in one test match. Seems a bit normal for Dunbar . WID (Douglas ) Elliot played occasionally for Dunbar as a flanker and was capped 29 times for Scotland between 1947-1954. He was asked to tour with The Lions but could not afford to spend 6 months away from his farm. The Lions went by boat in those days hence the time factor.
W.R.Logan ( Ross) played for Scotland from 1931-1937 and played scrum half. Two years after retiring he played for Dunbar for two years. He also played for Edinburgh Univ and Edinburgh Wanderers. He also played cricket for Scotland. Captained Scotland against Wales in 1937 when we won 13-6 at Swansea.
