Fell Bell

The Fell Bell is awarded to someone who goes way above the normal expected from a club member. Scott has worked tirelessly over many years with the minis and midi teams and also in many other roles. Scott does not like the limelight and was extremely surprised to win the award.

President Davie Wilson told those present that the management all e-mailed him with their nomination and that Scott was way out on his own. The president also thanked Scott for all the work he does behind the scenes and his dedicated work as a coach and team manager. You only need to ask and Scott will be there to give as much help as he can.

Really well deserved Scott for many years of outstanding commitment. As with Fiona you do a lot more than people know and certainly I appreciate all the effort. You are a vital cog in the wheel along with many others. We are gaining many good volunteers now and hopefully in a few years our work load will be reduced although we all love what we do and would find it difficult to do less.

As Davie said in his message above, to be nominated, never mind win a prestigious club award like the Fell Bell came as a huge shock to me, when he presented it, last night at the U16s award ceremony. As there so many people who work behind the scenes at the club, who I thought were a lot more deserving than me, 2 of them were there last night, Davie Wilson and Fiona Blair. Thanks to everyone who voted for me, one very proud recipient.
