DUNDAS VALLEY VIKINGS RUGBY FOOTBALL CLUB

CONSTITUTION.

NAME AND AFFILIATION

1. The name of the Club shall be Dundas Valley Vikings Rugby Football Club.

2. The Club shall be affiliated with the NSW Suburban Rugby Union and such other bodies as maybe determined from time to time.

3. The Club colours shall be blue and gold.

OBJECTS

4. The objects for which the club is established are:

(a)To encourage,foster and promote Rugby Union in the Dundas area and elsewhere and provide or assist in the provision of training and teaching facilities for rugby played in accordance with the rules of the NSW Suburban Rugby Union.

(b)To purchase,hire,lease or otherwise aquire any or real property for the club.

(c)To erect,maintain,improve or alter any build or buildings for the purpose of the club.

(d)To give,sell,exchange,hire,lease or otherwise dispose property of the club or any part or parts there of.

(e)To invest and deal with any moneys of the club not immediately required for the purposes there of upon such securities and in such manner as maybe from time to time be determined.

(f)To make,draw,accept,execute and issue promissory notes,bills of exchange,debentures and other negotiable instruments.

(g)To borrow money from time to time and for such purpose give debentures,liens,changes or other security over the whole or any part of the property,real or personal of the club.

(h)To take or reject any gift of property,money or goods whether subject to any special trust or not.

(i)To do all other things as are incidental or conductive to the attainment of the objects of the club.

MEMBERSHIP

5. The club shall consist of an unlimited number of members eligible for membership as defined by the rule of the NSW Suburban Rugby Union.

6. The method of nominations and election of members shall be determined by the committee of the club from time to time necessary.

7. Membership shall consist of the following classes:

(a)Ordinary members are those who are elected in accordance with the rules and who are financial.Each ordinary member is entitled to one (1)vote at General Meetings.

(b)Homorary Life Members are those nominated as candidates for life membership by the committee and subsequently elected by a two - thirds majority at the succeeding General Meeting.Each Honorary Life Member is entitled to one (1)vote at the General Meeting.
